FAQ's
What is Coaching?
Coaching helps people actualize their dreams. Clients have a desired outcome and a coach helps them achieve it. A coach will help you get clarity around your goals, help keep you accountable to your action steps, challenge your self-limiting beliefs, and motivate you to reach your dreams.
How Do Coaching and Therapy Differ?
While the two are similar in that they involve two people talking, the difference is that therapy focuses on the past to improve the present and coaching focuses on the present to realize future goals.
How do health coaches and nutritionists or dietitians differ?
Health coaches typically offer a holistic approach, which may include subjects such as sleep habits, stressors, personal relationships, work, purpose, and your relationship to these. Dieticians and nutritionists focus on nutrition. They may provide guidance on nutrition and offer meal plans.
What's your educational and professional background?
I have a B.A. in Communications from the University of Cincinnati and am dually certified in Life and Health Coaching from Health Coach Institute. Prior to becoming a coach, I worked in leadership for a variety of industries, including professional education, banking, and
e-commerce.
Do you work with clients who are using weight loss medications?
Yes. I've worked with clients who are on weight loss medications. My program works well with those who are on weight loss medications, as well as those who are not. As with all topics in coaching, there is never any judgement.
